First Moon Circles:
Celebrate, Educate
& Empower
First Moon Circles are a nurturing, empowering & celebratory introduction to puberty & menstrual cycle education for all young people preparing for/or experiencing a menstrual cycle (ages 9 -12) & their caregivers.
Together, we explore the changes of puberty & the wisdom of the menstrual cycle in a way that feels supportive, inclusive and uplifting.
These circles are designed as a gentle rite of passage โ a chance to feel celebrated, seen, and prepared for this important stage of life. Through storytelling, conversation, and creativity, young people learn to honour their bodies, care for themselves, and feel proud of their growing independence.

-
Each circle is held in a warm, nurturing, and playful environment. The day includes:
Learning about puberty, body changes, and the menstrual cycle in an age-appropriate and engaging way.
Exploring period products with hands-on curiosity and practical guidance.
Connecting with peers in a supportive group setting.
Sharing with caregivers in a special closing ceremony where wisdom, encouragement, and wishes are gifted.
Creativity & Embodiment โ a gentle craft or movement element to anchor the teachings (such as amulet-making or rhythmic drumming connected with cycles and seasons).
The circle weaves together knowledge, fun, and celebration โ with plenty of space for questions, and curiousity!
-
A gentle resource booklet to support ongoing learning & cycle wisdom.
A special craft activity (amulet or creative keepsake).
A nurturing gift bag with samples of cycle-supportive products & surprises.
Nourishing afternoon tea for caregivers and children to share together.
The experience of being honoured and celebrated in a supportive community.
The gift of lifelong empowering menstrual education!

Private First Moon Circles
Did you know First Moon Circles can also be held as a private event for your child & their friends?
Sharing this experience together can deepen friendships and create a circle of support to carry with them as they grow. Private circles are available for groups of 4 or more, for children aged 8 -16. If this feels right for your family, Iโd love to hear from you.
